I always thought people were faking it when they professed to having weird irrational aversions to things like pumpkin seeds and men wearing floral shirts, but then I realised that I really can't explain why I retch when I smell overripe bananas.

i'm just a classic arachnophobic i'm afraid... i think one of the most interesting i've seen is the fear of oranges - trying to get over it by peeling them behind glass and everything, very bizarre! can't seem to find a name for it tho - esperidoeidiphobia (the fear of citrus fruits) is as close as i could get!
My eldest has a big, proper fear of people dressed in rabbit costumes.
Dunno why.
I think a fear of men wearing floral shirts is perfectly rational myself, and one, more to the point, that should be embraced, nay, encouraged amongst all right-minded people.
I sometimes wonder if I'm simply phobic about people en masse. individuals are ok but big groups of people....? Eww. *quirm*
